Getting started, the parts that trip people up, and how to reach a human when something is broken.

Getting started

Create an account

Sign up with your name, email and a password of at least six characters from the sign-up screen. We send a confirmation email — click the link in it before signing in. If it has not arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder before requesting another.

Fill in your profile

Your profile is how a group short a player decides whether to invite you. From Profile → Edit you can set a display name, handle, photo, short bio, home city, and favorite sport. The city and sport are what make you findable in search, so they are worth filling in even if you skip the rest.

Find people

Use search to look up players, groups and sports. Following someone puts their posts in your feed; it does not give them access to anything private.

Signing in and passwords

I forgot my password

Use Forgot password and enter the email on your account. We send a reset link that signs you in just long enough to choose a new password. The link is single-use and expires, so request a fresh one rather than reusing an old email.

The reset link says it is invalid or expired

That normally means the link has already been used, a newer reset email superseded it, or too much time has passed. Request another from the same screen. Opening the link in a different browser than the one you requested it from can also do it.

I never got the confirmation or reset email

Check spam, and confirm you are using the address you actually signed up with. If it still has not landed, email support@dobrosports.com from that address and we will look at the delivery logs.

Groups

Public and private groups

Public groups can be found in search and joined by anyone. Private groups do not appear in search and need an invite from a member. Every group has a member limit set by whoever created it, so a full group will not accept new joins until someone leaves or the limit is raised.

Official groups

Groups marked Official are run by Game ON rather than by a member. Everything else is marked User and is run by the person who created it.

Group chat

Each group has a chat visible to its members. Treat it as visible to everyone in the group — including members who join later and can read back through the history.

Games and RSVPs

Proposing a game

A game is a sport, a venue and a start time. Create one from a group to invite that group, or on its own to invite people directly. You are the host, which means you can change the details or cancel it.

RSVPs

Everyone invited can mark themselves going, maybe, or not going. The going count is what tells the host whether the game is actually on, so updating a stale RSVP is the single most useful thing you can do for the rest of your group.

Plans change — say so. A game that quietly falls apart because four people left themselves marked “going” is the main way a group stops playing. Change your RSVP the moment you know.

Posts, likes and comments

Posts carry a photo or video with an optional caption and sport tag, and appear in the feeds of people who follow you. Anyone who can see a post can like or comment on it.

You can delete your own posts and comments. Deleting a post removes its comments and likes with it, and that cannot be undone.

Safety and reporting

You are meeting people in person, so a few habits matter: play at public venues, tell someone where you are going, and trust your read on a group that feels off.

Report a person, post, or group from its own screen, or email support@dobrosports.com with links. Reports are not shown to the person you reported. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first — we cannot respond at that speed.

Managing your account

Change your email or password

Passwords can be changed at any time through the password reset flow. For an email change, write to support from the address currently on the account.

Download or delete your data

Email privacy@dobrosports.com to request a copy of your data or to delete your account. Deletion removes your profile, posts, comments and group memberships. See the Privacy Policy for what is kept afterwards and why.

Still stuck?

Email support@dobrosports.com and include what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot shortens the conversation considerably.
