About this game

Handball is a fast-paced team sport where two teams of seven players pass a ball using their hands and attempt to throw it into the opposing goal.

Rules as played today

17 players per team (6 outfield + 1 goalkeeper); 7 substitutes allowed
2Players may hold the ball for up to 3 seconds or take 3 steps without dribbling
3Shooting on goal is only allowed from outside the goal area (6m line)
4Passive play (not attempting to score) results in a turnover
5Free throws, penalty throws (7m), and throw-offs restart play
